December “World Aids Day” charity activities under the motto “Knowledge is the best prevention against HIV infection”
In order to raise public awareness about HIV/AIDS and express support for those living with HIV, on December 1st, Ohrid Red Cross volunteers placed red ribbons to passers-by, employees and visitors in the city cafes, markets, shops, students in high schools as a universal symbol of awareness that AIDS exists and in support of those living with AIDS, they were educated with useful tips on how to prevent and protect from HIV/AIDS, and educational flyers were distributed on how to transmit, prevent and protect against HIV virus infection.
Activities continue during the Week of the Fight against HIV / AIDS from December 1-7, 2022 with the realization of interactive educational workshops for youth and training of peer educators on HIV / AIDS and realization of typified lectures in elementary and secondary schools in Ohrid and Debrca.
