Canadians for Children at Health Risk continue to assist the international struggle against HIV infection in children and youth through preventing the transmission of maternal HIV infection to fetuses or neonates
Charity collaborated and supported Red Cross Ohrid – activities on World AIDS Day and AIDS Week to draw the public’s attention to the importance of prevention and early detection of HIV infection.
Dr. Jovanka Strulakova Korovešoska and Danijela Veljanovska the social worker, held a presentation of the data on the situation of infections with the HIV virus throughout the country and in the Ohrid region.
Dr J S Koroveshoska also facilitated workshop for high school students SOSU “St. Cyril and Methodius” about importance of spreading knowledge about HIV/AIDS, prevention and protection, and emphasizing the importance of supporting those who are part of this fight
In order to promote and raise awareness, volunteers distributed educational material, condoms, and prevention and protection tips
Volunteers from the Ohrid Red Cross Youth Club, together with students from SOSU St. John high school Cyril and Methodius, were making red ribbons that symbolize this day.and distributed them throughout Ohrid in order to raise awareness of HIV/AIDS and provide support to people fighting it.
